Driving in country WA and interacting with the road trains around Kalgoorlie was a real experience for this east-coaster.

I'm used to country Queensland trucker politeness, but nothing beats a 4 trailer driver for thinking about your safety when passing. They really take care.

Watching them come off and get into the minesite, you also realised they're like supertankers: it takes many many lengths to decide to start, stop or turn. I saw them wait multiple minutes to ensure a clear road ahead and behind, to crank it up and out of the Junction.
