Obviously not that "James Brown," he's been dead for a while...

But this James Brown seems like a cool guy and I followed him.

Mastodon really is a great platform for stuff like this. You can find academics, nerds, makers, artists and interesting people anywhere (yes even on the hellscape of mainstream social media) but Mastodon doesn't have the dark patterns and algorithmic manipulation, and all of the good stuff hasn't been crowded out by influencers, bots and toxic assholes. Yet.
