Instagram account disabled for "impersonation", any advice?

My Instagram account was disabled for alleged impersonation but I didn't do anything wrong, and my appeal failed as well. I filed appeal with taking the video of my face but it got denied after a few hours and won't let me re-appeal and says all my data will be deleted. My account is several years old. I was posting on Threads a lot and I suspect some random person reported me for impersonation (even though I am just representing myself). Anyone have advice?

Best advice is to avoid heavily investing in someone else's walled garden. Especially in what appears to be a permanent polarization of positions on what appears to be an incredibly biased platform. As an oprating philosophy, you should be able to generate a new number, stand up a new account, upload your data, and resume trolling in a matter of minutes.

If Instagram doesn't want to be in a relationship with you, do you really want to be a in a relationship with them?

If people you want to follow publish their updates on Instagram, you have no choice.

id try a backup, new account, and keep going... have you not seen many users having several backup accounts?... that's the way to go

say good bye to your account. start fresh on fediverse.
