What about the fact that disabled parking bays are provided with more space around them, to help less able people get in/out of their cars, or even to get wheelchairs alongside the cars?
That seems like it's a much greater benefit than the reduced walk-times.
This project should actually attain mass adoption. I have not seen a credible objection to the code/simulation overall. So that's good! If the code sucked I'd be the first to hear about it.
I'd like to massively elevate this system. First, I want to see the results of real world Fill/Flush trials. If the F&F deplaning simulation seems credible after these IRL experiments it should be evaluated irl

I've noticed Walmart has started implementing walkways to speed pedestrian traffic down the rows of cars instead of in the path of cars coming and going. Changes like that probably have a far greater impact on customer flow.
