Intel will outsource marketing to Accenture, laying off many of its own workers

Tan is overhauling Intel’s operations, cutting jobs and eliminating layers of management in hopes that will accelerate the company’s innovation.

They said this about firing factory workers too. Marketing, factory workers, none of these seem to be things that would mess with innovation.

Middle management and executives stuck in their ways / anyone who can say no / has to give approvals. Those are the folks who stand in the way of things.
