Enrich local LLMs with local PDFs?

Now that we've had LLMs for a while is there already ready to run solutions so I one prepare a folder of papers as PDFs and then have a chatgpt like chat that I can query about them or chat about a topic and have it quote from those sources when appropriate?

I feel like something like this should exist but can not find it immediately, so I thought I ask here.
