Very nice, too bad this was not done around 30 years ago. People were begging for a GNU COBOL for Linux back then. But due to a stigma about COBOL, no one wanted to create one.

If one existed back then, the world would probably be a much different place.

You are probably thinking of the unrelated GnuCOBOL project.
