Show HN: Copyto.me – I made a better way of copying things to yourself

I built an app to copy things to yourself and retrieve them using a simple mnemonic.

*How it works:*

- Paste anything → Get a mnemonic (e.g., "cake").

- Use the mnemonic later to retrieve your content on another device.

- No logins, no setup.

*Why not use [Pastebin](https://pastebin.com/)?*

Pastebin is a great service but it doesn't offer really short mnemonics to easily retrieve your content. Also, copyto.me can preserve your formatting.

*Is this a rip-off of [magic-wormhole](https://github.com/magic-wormhole/magic-wormhole) / [webwormhole.io](https://copyto.me/webwormhole.io) / [wormhole.app](https://copyto.me/wormhole.app) / [instant.io](https://copyto.me/instant.io)?*

This tool is optimized for convenience, so certain tradeoffs are made at the cost of privacy.

Example advantages vs wormholes:

1. The mnemonics are shorter.

2. Both devices do not be connected to the tool at the same time.

3. Rich text is preserved.

Disadvantages:

1. The mnemonics are guessable.

2. File transfers aren't supported (yet?)

Try it for free here: https://copyto.me

More info on mnemonics and tech stack is in the FAQ: http://copyto.me/faq.

Would love to hear your thoughts.
