Hello community,

In 2022, I was among many engineers affected by tech layoffs. Looking for a new job was nasty; on top of the general feeling of dread, I could not find a tool that would have the sense of "this is simple like dealing with a spreadsheet" while talking to dozens of companies.

So I decided to work on my own.

I refined the idea (and, quite frankly, procrastinated on top of it) for the next two years. This year, I finally put it out there for the world to see.

Jobstical is based on two simple concepts: positions (the jobs you're applying for) and stages (the various stages of a recruiting process). I don't try to be fancy; I try to offer the minimum set of features that offer value. Also, I'm not trying to sell my product as an "AI tool"—it will have resume-generating capabilities, and so far, that's it.

Jobstical is a work of love and enthusiasm by a solopreneur. I used Golang for the backend, Deno Fresh for the front end (and Cursor as my front-end engineer). Please give it a spin. I'm excited to see what you think of it! I expect many things to break, but that's part of the fun!
