I remember following the original development of (stored) generated columns, and realizing that they weren't planning on getting around to virtual generated columns at the time which made the feature useless for my use cases I needed to migrate. This is great to see the follow-through.
Though it does suck to see it doesn't support logical replication. Hopefully that gets resolved in time.
