”Attempts by SpaceX to enter Vietnam - a market of nearly 100 million people - were put on hold in late 2023 after the Communist-run country declined to lift a ban on foreign control of satellite internet providers”

One can probably guess why they had that particular ban…

Not just for vietnam, its a risky proposition to have a foreign company supplying the US military becoming a core communication provider in your country.

I don’t know that your statement is relevant.

The ban appears to be on any foreign control of satellite internet providers, regardless of whether they also supply the US military.

Also, now they’re changing their minds, so even if it was a concern, as you content, they’re willing to sell out.
