Firefox had been using lots of CPU on my laptop for no apparent reason, even after a restart. The workaround in the thread of running date -s "`date`" worked for me, and instantly fixed the problem.

Thanks. Firefox had been using lots of CPU on my laptop for no apparent reason, even after a restart. The workaround in the thread of running date -s "`date`" worked for me, and instantly fixed the problem.
