oh wow, rtorrent is something I hadn't thought about in years. I actually ended up using it to image PCs back in the 2010s since the network administrator didn't want to configure multicast on the network/vlan. It actually worked out pretty well for quickly distributing an image to multiple PCs booted from a live-linux CD.

rTorrent has been my go-to client for servers for ten years now, glad to see that the development seems to be gaining traction again! I don't use rTorrent's TUI anymore though, nowadays I just run it in the daemon mode and couple it with the Flood web GUI. Handles hundreds of torrents just fine.
