Ask HN: When did you start hiring assistants and how do you work with them?

Being overwhelmed with a million things to do and always being behind as a bootstrapped founder I would like to hear from other founders who decided to hire assistants:

1) when did you start hiring them

2) where are they

3) what do they do

4) how do you know you can trust them (e.g. if they handle bank stuff)

5) how do you work with them / delegate

I guess really famous people just sue their assistants if they screw them over, but that is something cash-strapped bootstrapped will have a harder time doing...
