There's so much random BS on Twitter. Help me understand why this was shared to HN?

to me the added value was that I clicked a link to, OK, Xitter, but now there's a user-contributed disclaimer attached to the original post that puts the claim into a rather sobering context. I guess it's good to have some antidote to "I'm confident that within a year or two" claims.
