Ask HN: Anyone else seeing increased latency in Azure?

Hey, we've been seeing some unusual latency between and inside zones (within the same region) in Azure. Usually between zones rtt would be 1.1-1.5ms, for a couple of days we're seeing averages of 4ms and individual pings up to 20ms. It seems to happen with Dv4/Ev4/Dv5/Ev5 (accelerated network) VMs only. Inside the same zone rtt would usually be 0.5-1ms, now that is upto 8ms, average around 2.5ms. Also this does not seem to be in a single region, I've seen this happening in East US, West Europe and Germany West Central; did not test more regions yet :)

Did MS mess up their accelerated network on those VM types?
