I felt it in Central NJ, and my wife in NYC felt it as well.

The submitted reports show it stretched from Fairfield County, Connecticut to New Castle County, Delaware.

We have small ones every 10 years here too, in the Rhine valley. The first time is a bit "wtf". There are area where people are not at all prepared, so it's just an ubris thing: "oh well that was an earthquake I guess", and then you go back to your pre-earthquake-activities.
