Compact (mini) keyboard recommendations wanted

I recently fractured my right humeral shaft (think upper arm above the elbow) in three playing tennis and will be in a cast for 12 months. Safe to say, the is impeding my ability to hack and using a full size keyboard (apple air or apple keyboard) with just my left arm is tiring an inefficient. I contemplated 'chorded' keyboards designed for one hand (frogpad) but they lack critical keys and have large learning curves. I am seeking sage advice for those of you who can empathize with my situation.
