Ask HN: What Happened to Bolt in Boston?

I've been trying to catch up on the status of Bolt in Boston and am finding mixed information. For those who may not be familiar, Bolt was an early-stage venture capital firm and startup accelerator that focused on hardware startups, providing not just funding but also engineering support, prototyping facilities, and expert guidance. They had a unique position in the startup ecosystem, particularly for hardware-oriented ventures, which often face different challenges than software startups.

I remember Bolt being quite active and significantly impacting the hardware startup scene, not just in Boston but globally, given their emphasis on the physical product development side of things. However, I've recently heard less about their activities and am curious if they're still operational in Boston.

Does anyone know if Bolt is still active and if not, what happened? Additionally, if Bolt is no longer around, are other accelerators or VC firms that have stepped in to fill the gap with a focus on hardware startups? I'm particularly interested in programs offering deep technical support and resources similar to Bolt's.

Thanks in advance for any insights or updates!
