Sometimes I want to download a video, but there is no download option most of the time. How do you download videos?

I pay for YouTube premium and Nebula which both let me download videos. I use it to save videos for when I travel. I also sometimes live off grid with a Starlink and I'll download videos so I can turn Starlink off to save power.

Literally Using ffmpeg to download m3u8 videos these days. Whenever they need a header i proxy that url via nginx

Yt-dlp ftw!

An app called ClipGrab works well enough for me:

https://clipgrab.org

ytp-dl for everything

The correct spelling is yt-dlp: https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp

Is that an executable? Isn't there an extension which can do it? The ones I searched from chrome store don't seem to work.

It can be. It is a python program from here https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp

Synology’s download manager - which is an amalgamation of tools, but for video it’s ytp-dl

It works great.

https://deturl.com/ or rather when you type in a URL is will link to another 10 tools https://deturl.com/www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVBsypHzF3U
