Wouldn't it be lovely if...the US government was so high-functioning that it could actually be bothered to do something about this problem? Vs. these endless and so-similar servings of Warning du Jour.

(Yeah...maybe they are, secretly. But it feels more likely that my using "US government" and "high-functioning" in the same sentence is merely a symptom of my fading mental facilities.)

The EPA tried wrt water systems and Republican states along with the industry sued them. So, good luck with your Swiss cheese industrial controls for critical potable water supplies. Fuck around and find out I guess.
