Why couldn't they use existing GNSS (Beidou I think)? It surely can't be sustainable to have every car company that wants to provide good navigation, to launch their own cluster of satellites?

"The satellites have AI remote sensing functions, providing 1-5 meter (3.2-16.4 ft) clear high-resolution remote sensing imaging, the company said."

I think these are mapping satellites, not geolocation satellites.
