Ask HN: Are the Sodium-Ion Battery News Related to NASA's Sabers?

What the headline says. I think SABERS got some interest last year, as a _very good_ alternative to Li-ion. My question is, are these recent news about sodium-ion related to producing the SABERS one, or is it another technology altogether ? If its the latter, any posts that talk about the internal chemistry/how it's different from the one NASA aims to develop?
