A nitpicky plot hole: There's no way poor people in this near-future dystopia would have access to a device that can access darknet forums, nor would video hosting sites allow hacking instructions, nor would the building's ISP allow access to anything besides ad-infested walled-garden services. At least, you'd have to jailbreak your computing device first, which is chicken-and-egg, and also hacking your phone would bring even worse risks to a precariat than hacking your toaster (especially if your phone serves as government ID).

In the grim dark future, there is only authorized bread.
