Ask HN: Anyone investing or looking to invest in Africa?

I'm from an African country where the monthly wage is around $50 a month. I have been living in France for the last 14 years, but I'd like to move back home and start something (real estate / tourism). A "small" investment from the west would have huge impact given the exchange rate. Where can meet people interested in this?
