Are big tech layoffs coming back?

I'm wondering if mass layoffs are coming back. It's clear the market has recovered, but entered a semi stable state.

What indicators do you look at? What's the sentiment around your workplace?

Mass layoffs? Probably not. The last mass layoffs were the result of interest rate hikes and the end of easy money. Inflation is slowing. So should interest rate hikes.

Macro conditions don't guarantee one way or another for single companies. There's always signs of financial stress internally. Keep an eye out and you'll see them, if there.

The big risk now are startups who raised money in 2021 and are coming due for another round.
