Bitty, Love, and Defold all made HN front page today. How do they compare?

Three different game engines with Lua support made the front page of Hackernews today, which I found remarkable. Aside from wondering why all three would pop up at once, I'm curious in knowing how they compare and contrast. Could folks here on HN who have used all three, or at least two of them, compare and contrast them?
