None of it. Zero. I could have a much happier and peaceful life without constantly reading headlines and outrage, and feeling compelled to put in my 2¢.

I use HN to pass away my idle time. At this point, I really don't have better options. If I could think of any, I would use them. I neglect exercise and even outdoor times are few and far between for me. HN is undeniably unhealthy for me to spend all this time on it, but here I am.

A lot of it for me is cruft. Apparently this cruft is very important for other people. (HN is very STEM biased). I come here for industry news. I typically read the front page for obituaries for dead products/services/platforms that I should know about going forward, and to see what new things I should be using too.

I enjoy unique content, so I’d say roughly 2-3% on any day.
