Ask HN: What is the best piece of advice your manager has given to you?

.. in a dispute and cry for help from my side, told me a story why he left his long term employer, then realizing that he is just telling me to leave. He is screwed if i leave. He knows that I know that he knows. Best advice, btw. I'm at silent quiting right now and it's not long for the proper quitting.
