What's a better way to implement to-do entry?

One of the elements of our solution is the ability to enter tasks that are associated with a lesson in a workbook. The tasks have three elements - Title, Description and file attachments. We use TinyMCE for the editor to allow "rich" descriptions. Looking for advice on how to make the process of entering tasks faster. Suggestions or example would be helpful.
