Show HN: Alerty.dev – Native Push Notification API for iOS Home Screen Web Apps
alerty.devApple just released iOS 16.4 which adds support for native push notifications in home screen web apps.
Alerty.dev provides an API and pre-built integrations like Zapier so you can send yourself push notifications using little to no code.
No need to install an app, just add alerty to home screen as a PWA and you can start sending notifications as if it were a native app.

Sweet. I always thought this would be a good idea. Was on my bucket list to build. Although as a native app but this is even better. Making yourself API callable.
Seems like you need to upgrade safari 16.4 on iOS, but other than that it’s basically getting near native push notifications via a friggin PWA! Pretty cool!
Apple as usual was late to the game supporting Web [Push APIs](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Push_API), but I'm glad the day is finally here.
It's been supported on most other browsers and devices for a while now.
