Ask HN: What have academics who study entrepreneurship learned?

On HN

I see a lot of startup advice combing from founders who've walked the walk, accelerators like YCombinator, and platforms like Indie Hackers. However, I also know that there are academics who study entrepreneurship.

Maybe I'm just not hanging out in the right corners of the internet, but I rarely see things coming from them. Two questions: 1) What are the important things they have learned? 2) What are some good resources for learning more about their findings?

What are the important things they have learned

You can make money off the saps who believe luck, timing, salesmanship, and hard work can be taught in a classroom.
