I’ve been collecting and publishing data on stock trading by politicians for the past three years. This is the first biggest update I’ve made to the dashboard I built tracking congressional stock trading, and figured there might be some interest here.
Here’s a quick overview of features which were added:
- On the homepage, you can now see data on how stocks have performed since a congressional trade, in the “Recent Trades” table.
- At the bottom of the page is a chart tracking the performance of a Congress Long-Short algorithmic trading strategy.
- If you search for a congressman at the top, you can see all the trades I have on record for that politician.
- If you search for a ticker, you can see all trades of that ticker alongside of a graph showing trades plotted on a price chart for the stock.
- You can pull up even more information on a trade by clicking a row in any of the tables. This page shows details on the transaction, as well as a graph showing the stock’s performance before and after the trade was made.
