Well, it's only natural that technological progress and competition will reduce prices and allow the masses to enjoy products that were reserved for the rich in earlier times.

There was no dramatic tech progress in Tesla in the last few years, while competition steadily increased, it's only natural that the prices would drop. The Tesla stock valuations that essentially predicted this would never happen were obviously delusional.

This brings the model 3 back into contention for a lot of drivers. If I was in the market I would consider it. It will be interesting to see if other vehicle prices start coming down.
