This is why you should avoid instances run by for-profit companies. This isn't even the first time Pawoo has been sold. First Pixiv sold it to Russell (a media company), and now it's on to a company that runs another instance with a poor reputation.

Mask team has been the maintainer of two of the most active instances of Mastodon, mstdn.jp, and mastodon.cloud, and built the first official app for Mastodon collaborated with Mastodon core builder team and NYC-based design firm Lickability.
