Hey HN, by now almost everyone here should have heard of ChatGPT. Many have already tried it out. I would be interested to know how many of you have used it for something productive. For example at work or at university.

I use it for quick information on tech bits, or a starting point for some code: "How do I do X in terraform?"

One way to use this tool is to reduce the effectiveness of stylometry attacks by requesting that it rephrase what you have written. This can help to protect your writing from being identified based on its unique style.

Why does it feel like you used ChatGPT for this? Also - if ain’t a secret - how do you get it not to make x2 longer with more details?

Rephrase the following consisely:

I ask ChatGPT to be consise, sometimes works, often doesn't.

- - -

I sometimes ask ChatGPT to be concise, but it often doesn't work.

Though it’s hard to get it to not completely rewrite text addint x3 more information, I’m using to cleanup text in presentation/talk I’m gonna do

I use it to summarize my assignments in class occasionally
