Companies that hire “Engineers who can design” or “Designers who can code”

Which companies hire for hybrid Developer/Designer roles? I feel that sometimes that's a really fulfilling role for some people (like me) and wondering where I could be paid for that (most jobs are either or one of the two positions).

Furthermore: has anybody worked in a similar role in a tech company and can share their experience?

Companies I'm aware already: - Basecamp (designers owning the styling part of the FE) - Ashby (recently saw some open positions about it but not exactly sure how it works there)
