I do similar but in Foam+VSCode text files saved as isoDate-named journals git synced across my main desktops and keyword-topic-linked using Foam [0]
"Deep Work" by Cal Newport is what I cite as justification/validation when telling clients that except for the first hour of the workday my phone is off in flight mode for hours at a time to help maintain focus and improve productivity. And it works too :)
