Everyone is probably thinking the same thing. "There isn't already cameras in train cars?"

Yep, in New York of all places.

About 20% of the time the station cameras don't even work. I find it simultaneously mind boggling that there hasn't already been a full in-car surveillance rollout and that this is what they are spending MTA money for in 2022.

Also I'm surprised there aren't safety cameras in train cars yet? This seems to be more common in the EU than the US I think.

What is a safety camera?
