Desktop environment that looks somewhat like the LCARS (Library Computer Access/Retrieval System) graphical interface first used in the Star Trek: The Next Generation series.
Looking at some videos of the interface in action on Youtube, that seems pretty unique, bravo to the author for the effort.
It might be cool to see it use a system-wide flat icon theme in areas like the settings, where you end up with rows of labeled buttons of different pastel colors.
It also seems to me--could be wrong--that some homage-style window decorations and a windowed interface could be a really nice look as well. In fact the colors and general simplicity reminded me a lot of CDE.

It looks like it wants to be an appliance interface as opposed to a desktop interface.
