Ask HN: Who has moved on from Heroku? Where to?

On HN

This is not (exclusively) a knee-jerk reaction to Heroku's ongoing github connection outage [0], but a accumulation of frustrations stemming from relatively low amounts of innovation and relatively high costs compared to competitors.

  - Have you switched to a different PaaS?
  - What's better after switching?
  - What's worse after switching?
Let's assume this is for apps which just use the core Heroku maintained features: Web + background processes, Postgres (with point-in-time-restore!), Redis, Kafka, and Cron tasks, topped off with trivially simple deployment and devops.
