Ask HN: Wi-Fi setup for coworking space

My sister is looking to setup a small coworking space. I told her I’d help with internet setup.

In thinking about it, I initially thought wpa2-enterprise and radius. However, then I started to think about users, payments, etc. I poked around a bit for solutions and didn’t find much. Are there no open source offerings around this problem of making it easy to manage enterprise WiFi?

Thanks!

WPA2-Enterprise and EAP is the right way to go about it if people have profiles attached to them (a members club essentially).

For one-off access, EAP is pretty terrible as you'd have to give them a new username/password every time and they have to enter it.

Its not open source, but ubiquity have this build in to their wifi management platform.

Cool, I was planning on using ubiquity gear, so will look more into this.
