Who does that server serve?

As much as I do support free software, there is a limit. Just because I can run free software doesn't mean it's always the best option for me.

Running your own servers isn't free, especially if the task is more specialist. SaaSS gets me a guarantee and support that what I need will work. If something burns down, it's not my fault. Mistakes happen, but hopefully if the company is dedicated to providing that service then hopefully they'll make less mistakes than my sysadmin through just being more heads.

As with any issue, there's a balance, too far disagree or too far agree and it just can't work.

If I want your bank credentials so I can spend your money, you are going to give me half your money? Or you will get into contact with your inner absolutist...

You wanting my bank credentials is your problem, not mine, until you succeed.
