Basically this a rather bleak assessment of world energy consumption and states that oil is practically irreplaceable (by anything) at current consumption levels by any measure of Nuclear or renewable forms of energy _and_ that we've only got about 40 more years of proven oil reserves.
For example, it would require building 32,850 wind turbines or 52 nuclear power plants, each year for 50 years, to obtain in one year the amount of energy contained in one cubic mile of oil.
