How WhatsApp status tracker works and how to prevent it
I started testing few whatsapp trackers and it looks like it's working even if you disabled "last seen" option on your privacy settings.
The apps give you when and how much a person was online and it's kinda scary from a privacy perspective, so any idea how these apps works ? and the most important questions is how to prevent it?

it looks like it's related to "online" status not the last seen, but still, I'm surprised how whatsapp allows non contacts to have this information

That page is so terrible. So much non-informational words which are designed to cause emotions, and so little actual technical info. Painful to read.
