Ask HN: How is your M1 Mac doing?
Now that we're over the marketing / youtube hype of the M1 and everyone has had a good stretch of time to get real work done on the device. How is it holding up? How have updates been? Any downsides presenting themselves?

As a dev, the only problem I've encountered so far is the inability to run x86 Windows virtual machines. It's otherwise been quite a bit faster at virtually everything compared to a 2019 MBP.
The fanless M1 MacBook Air is a revelation, especially with regard to performance per decibel.
I bought 2 for my kids and they continue to love them. I am not aware of any downsides.
