So Musk didn't know about the environmental impacts before? There's no way to trust someone who can't even research for 5 minutes before making this kind of decision...

He knew exactly. Tesla needs new sorts of income, if the sale of carbon dioxide certificates doesn't generate enough profit.

Currency risk for one. Though that could be mitigated through increased prices to pass on the costs to someone else.

Proof of stake has the typical issue of people with capital getting even more capital.

Chia is threatening to expand the global chip shortage to both SSD and HDD devices and it needs to go away.
