Ask HN: How well is your vaccine signup system working?

I'm curious what the signup and appointment allocation experience has been like in different states/localities and countries. Here in DC it's a mad rush on the public web portal every Friday at 9am for new appointments. It seems like a terrible system, but maybe others are worse?
