Is Hacker News inserting links to Work at a Startup hiring posts?

Recently I started to notice that the Hacker News front page contains hiring posts linking to Work at a Startup, https://www.workatastartup.com/, also part of YC. The posts appear on the front page (with 1 point), but cannot be upvoted and don't contain comments or a discussion. Visually, the posts are identical to other posts (except for the voting buttons).

Just curious: did I miss an announcement about hiring posts being inserted on the front page?

"Another kind of job ad is reserved for YC-funded startups. These appear on the front page, but are not stories: they have no vote arrows, points, or comments. They begin part-way down and fall steadily. Only one is on the front page at a time. The rest are listed at jobs."

Ah, thanks. Didn't notice them before - most likely because they fell down from the front page before I had time to see them.

This (hiring ads for YC companies) has been the case for many years.

Thanks - it's my TIL for this day.

I only started to notice the 'special' submissions (with no voting buttons, no points, all to workatastartup.com) recently. I guess that these submissions had fallen of the front page earlier, before I had a chance to notice them.
