When Google Maps just came out and blew everyone's mind with their satellite imagery, there are plenty of online communities that focused on finding interesting spots on GMaps, and I was obsessed.
Unfortunately, these communities eventually died out and I never find something similar (admittedly I didn't look too hard, so open to recommendations of similar sites).
This is https://www.reddit.com/r/googlemapsshenanigans/ , but I feel it's way too low effort (almost nothing educational posted, people often just post the screenshot without coordinates and links, no real discussion etc.).
As for your awesome site, I wish there are more descriptions (some only have a title).
I also enjoy looking for interesting spots on Google Maps.
I actually run another site [1] which is similar to this one, but dedicated to satellite imagery, and which lets you submit interesting views. It doesn't have a great deal of traffic but I do get a dozen or so submissions per day!
There are some interesting, lesser known locations on Google Street View which I thought would be interesting to stroll around (virtually) during these times.
For example, one of my favourites is Battleship Island, an abandoned Japanese island which is being slowly taken back by nature.

Issue: On this page[1], the view is black. When reached via PREV or NEXT, the preceding view remains, sometimes reoriented, though the text changes.

Just one suggestion: How about a small overview map (perhaps zoomable) in one corner, so we can see where in the world we are?

You can also click the Google logo at the bottom left to see the location on Google Maps.
I like the concept, well done. A suggestion would be to add some kind of filtering capability (e.g., see only landscapes, historical sites).
